ABOUT US

Burgundy Global Exploration Corporation

Burgundy Global Exploration Corporation (BGEC) was organized primarily to explore and develop oil and gas resources within the Republic of the Philippines through new service contracts and/or joint venture agreements with existing service contract holders. The company has been involved in international petroleum trading at the start of the oil deregulation law in the Philippines in early 2003. BGEC commenced oil and gas exploration operations in 2006 when it was granted two petroleum service contracts by the Department of Energy (DOE) under the Philippine Energy Contracting Round (PECR) 2005.

BGEC aims to explore the deep-water areas of the Philippines as its management believes that much of future oil reserves lie within deep-water areas, as demonstrated by the Kikeh Fields in Malaysia, the Gulf of Mexico, and offshore Vietnam. We are ready to contribute to the accelerated development of the country’s energy resources to increase the country’s energy self-sufficiency.  It is in the best interest of the country to support the growth of a truly Filipino-owned oil company, such as BGEC, to contribute to the development of the country’s natural resources, specifically petroleum.
VISION

It is our vision to become the leading wholly Filipino-owned oil company that could provide the driving force and catalyst for renewed hydrocarbon exploration activities in the Philippines by employing available Filipino technical and financial expertise to hasten the realization of energy independence of the country.
MISSION

We are committed to develop and produce the largest known oil reserve in the Philippines in order to contribute significantly to the revenues of the government and progress of the economy, lessen total dependency on oil imports, and possibly to help reduce high costs of imported oil.
