Camago-Malampaya Oil Leg
LOCATION
Located 80 kilometers north west of Palawan Island in water depth of 820 - 1200 meters, the field was discovered in 1989 by Occidental Petroleum. Initially assumed to contain 3 Trillion cubic feet of gas and 456 Million barrels of oil. A horizontal well (MA-10) was drilled and an extended well test performed for 150 days in 2001 confirming the oil production potential, producing 25,000 barrels per day at 30 degrees API.
